Tyler was born to a Garu mother and a non-kinfolk father in an Irish Fianna caern. Shortly after his birth the caern where he was living was attacked by Black Spiral Dancers. The attack killed his father, and his mother became consumed with revenge against the Spiral Dancers responsible for the attack. For his safety he was given to the care of his Paternal Aunt and Uncle, who were Roman Catholic Fundamentalists. His Aunt and Uncle fearing that his mother was some devil worshiping pagan resolved to hide away Tyler in hopes of “saving his soul”. The family moved to the United States and eventually settled in a polluted, mining city in Montana. There Tyler was raised in the Catholic Faith, but always felt that it wasn’t right. Whenever he voiced his doubts hes was reprimanded and shut down by his adopted family.
Eventually, by about the time Tyler was in middle school, Tyler’s Maternal Aunt and Uncle tracked Tyler down. Tyler’s mother was still on her crusade against the Spiral Dancers, and could not come for him herself, but she was able to send some Kinfolk Tyler’s way. The Maternal Aunt and Uncle were not able to gain custody over Tyler from his Paternal. Tyler’s Maternal Aunt and Uncle were able to indulge his curiosity in the pagan and lay the ground work for his eventual return to Garu society. Tyler’s Paternal Aunt and Uncle reacted to this by placing Tyler in a Catholic High School. There Tyler was bullied endlessly for his growing pagan beliefs by the Catholic Students, made all the worse by the faculty turning a blind eye to it. The bulling continued until it the night of his High School graduation, when the senior class went on a weekend retreat in the forest. Tyler’s tormentors sought to humiliate and beat him over the weekend, and on the first night they cornered Tyler. They beat him, stripped off his clothing, and were about to parade him in front of the rest of the class. This is when Tyler transformed for he first time.
In an instant his tormentors were no more than blood and gore on the forest floor, as well as anyone else unlucky enough to be close buy when the change happened. Frenzied and enraged he ran into the woods and was not seen for almost a week. When he was found he was naked, bloody, and muddy. Tyler was never officially implicated in the deaths of his tormentors, it had been blamed on a rampaging grizzly bear, but many in the city (especially in the religious communities) felt that Tyler was somehow involved. Though none would guess he is a werewolf, most citizens would speculate that Tyler used some pagan demonic power to summon the bear. To this day Tyler has this negative notoriety. It is also from these events that Tyler has nurtured an intense hatred of the Catholic Church, but will only extend that hatred to Catholics that behave like his tormentors.
Since his transformation he has lived in the city and currently works as a bouncer for his Maternal Aunt and Uncle’s bar. With is awaking of his true self as a werewolf Tyler’s Mother has returned to him, finally content with her revenge on the Dancers. There is a little tension between Tyler and his Mother over to her absence, but Tyler realizes she had responsibilities to the Garu that kept here away. As a way to make amends she has taken to mentoring Tyler, and Tyler has much to learn from her. Now Tyler want to see what destiny unfolds before him.
